Keeping the forms simple here, I was able to push color. I like larger color blocks that read well from a distance, as opposed to broken color. I think this will like a nice larger studio painting. What do you think? BTW, does the cave in the lower right read that way?

I like the colours and the hazy horizon ….. but no it doesn’t read as a cave to me, I see it as a rock in front of the cliff :>(

Very nice piece – I like the way it says it all with so little. I see the cave, but thats not the focal point, right, just like a nice little something to discover as you travel around the painting.
I’m really going out on a limb here but maybe a few connecting shapes through the water to the mouth of the cave, keeping the value though, would lead the eye there. It’s a strong study.
