Well, it was a bad weekend (except of course for the sales at Filoli, Ya!). I just was not thrilled to paint Crocket. I did one decent landscape of the hills outside town, but my citiscape…no bueno. I wish I could loosen up when it comes to painting architecture. I’ve seen it done well. Danny MacCaw comes to mind.

I really like the broken colour in your landscape. I like how it makes your eyes circle around the painting and I just like the texture of it.
Fish and apples. “In Between” speaks of light and color. Danny’s work is light and texture. I think this is a fine composition.
