Once in a while I paint on commission, but I don’t know about you, but it’s not my favorite thing to do. I guess it’s because we need to find a balance between what the client wants and our own creative sensibilities. Luckily, this client was a friend, liked my work, and asked that I paint their dog in any manner I liked.
So, this is it. Meet “Copper”.
very nice!!!, you should come over to joshua tree to paint, I have found it very creative and spiritual. do you know Robert Lewis? he is from pacific grove.
Hi Steve, thanks! I’ve heard the same thing about Josue Tree. I would like to get out there. I may be too late, weather-wise? I don’t want to paint in a furnace.
Yes, I know Robert Lewis. I had a solo show at his gallery last year. I stopped by the gallery, but he wasn’t there–probably out painting all week as the Carmel Art Festival is this weekend.
This is great. Nice to have cooperative friends. Commissions are a test of patience, I think.
