Great news! My two paintings donated to New Leaf sold for more than asking price! Felt great. And, Armistead Maupin, a guest speaker of the event (the famous author) thought my paintings were “amazing”. I run into him occasionally at The Edge, he’s a nice chap (and HI! to Mike at The Edge, he’s the best). It was really a fun night. I can’t believe I didn’t use my Nokia to take pictures and share here. You’ll have to rely on my memory 😉

In other news, I’ve been doing some consulting for Wells Fargo to make some extra money–someone has to pay for my painting trips to Greece! My blog for them, Guided by History, has been a tremendous success! They wanted to hire me full time, but I let them know my art comes first. As a result, they’re now talking to me about a part-time job, that will allow me flexible weeks/months to paint as/when needed. What could be better? Being paid to blog and paint.
