Still having fun painting winter scenes. I can see why many of the masters may have painted them as well–you’re really able to stretch the scale of values (black to white) that you can use. And snow just seems interesting, especially the shadows. I started with a blue-green shadow, then warmed them up and lightened them, which I think works. It also provides a nice vibration of warm/cool color combinations.
