I’ve painted this bridge before, and wrote about the history of this area. This is a different view, and I’m much happier not only with the composition, but the color, paint application, etc. It’s great keeping this blog, because I can look back at old work and measure my progress. Hope you enjoy it!
Return to Stow Lake Bridge
I went out of my way to find this bridge after seeing pictures of it on Google Earth while planning my vacation in the area. I love the way your painting came out, and it brings back great memories too!
Thanks, Kerri. The bridge survived the Great 1906 Earthquake of San Francisco, so it will hopefully be around a long, long time and inspire others.
I always love your color and descriptions… Interesting and entertaining!!
