Hillside Light
I painted this quick study in my studio from an image in my digital library. I actually can’t recall where this was, but I want to be there! Enjoy.

Ed, Terrific composition and palette. Such a simple subject, but handled so well. Dynamite!

Good one Ed, I especially like all those colors in the foreground. That little patch of light under the tree and the bits of blue above that really bring my eye into the painting.

Wow, thanks guys for the feedback. I focuseed the most intense colors in that foreground light, and it appears to work well. i am also learning to apply greys much more effectively, which gives the more intense colors a stage to shine.
